Brackley Lake

Difficulty: Easy
Distance: 2 miles / 3.2 km

This is a short walk around Brackley lake and its hidden pocket park.

Directions

  • Start by the entrance to the lake along Hinton Road, taking the left path downhill
  • Follow the path around the lake, taking the left fork just before the picnic area
  • Keep walking a bit further and there will be a path off to the left. Follow this path and cross over the bridge on your right and onto Banbury Road
  • Turn left and walk down the hill along Banbury Road, past the roundabout. With the zip wire park on your right, turn left and enter the pocket park.
  • Walk along the pocket park until you go under the bridge. You can either:
    • Take the steps on your right just past the bridge and then turn left towards the lake,
    • Or continue walking along the pocket park and take the next steps and rejoin the lake path slightly later.
  • There is a nice picnic spot with picnic tables here where you can have a rest
  • Continue walking around the lake until you get back to the lake entrance
